Volunteer Nominations – 2026 SA State Junior Championships

Volunteer nominations are now open for the 2026 SA State Junior Championships, being held on:

📍 SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre

Thank you for volunteering your time to support our athletes and competition community. Events like these are only possible thanks to the generous support of our volunteers.

For members who have paid the volunteer levy as a part of the 2026/2027 Diver Membership, volunteering at this event will allow you to redeem a $75 refund of your levy.

Please read the role descriptions below before submitting your nomination. We will do our best to accommodate preferred times and positions; however, preferences cannot be guaranteed.

Volunteer Role Descriptions

Deck Marshal

Assist with controlling access to the pool deck during competition sessions and help line up competitors in preparation for march-on and events.

Announcer

Read diver names, dive numbers, and scores over the loudspeaker throughout the event.

Table Support

Record scores as they are announced during events and assist by reading numbers from the screen to confirm scores for the Top & Tailer.

Top & Tailing

Record dive scores as they are announced.
For panels with five judges:

• Cross out the highest and lowest scores
• Add together the remaining scores
• Read the total aloud to the table supporter

Merchandise Table

Assist with merchandise sales from the grandstand during Saturday competition sessions.

Laminator

Laminate certificates and attach completed dive sheets for divers once events have concluded.

Event Set-Up

Assist with competition preparation, including:

• Setting up podium backdrops
• Positioning corflute signage
• General event preparation

Event Pack-Up

Assist with packing down competition equipment, including:

• Removing podium backdrops and signage
• Returning equipment to storage
• General clean-up and pack-away tasks
