Kids Learn 2 Dive
Learn 2 Dive
Diving SA's Learn 2 Dive program is designed to introduce the sport of diving to participants of all ages and abilities. Through a structured pathway of beginner and intermediate classes, divers can enjoy the sport recreationally or progress towards our competitive squad program.
At our state-of-the-art facility at the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre in Oaklands Park, we offer Learn 2 Dive classes six days per week. Our program operates in line with the South Australian school terms, commencing at the beginning of each term and concluding at the end of term.
Class Levels
Our Learn 2 Dive program is divided into skill-based classes to ensure divers are training with others of a similar ability level.
Bronze Learn 2 Dive - new divers, badges 1, 2, 3
Silver Learn 2 Dive - intermediate divers, badges 4, 5, 6
Gold Learn 2 Dive - advanced divers badges 7 & 8
Progression between class levels is determined by Diving SA coaches once the required skills have been demonstrated consistently and safely.

Fees & Costs
There are three costs to consider when participating in diving with Diving SA:
-
Annual Membership Fee
-
Coaching Fees
-
Pool Entry Fees
1. Annual Membership Fee
The Diving SA membership year runs from 1 July to 30 June each year.
Membership is mandatory for all participants involved in Diving SA activities, including divers, coaches, volunteers, and staff. Membership includes registration with Diving Australia and provides access to insurance coverage, including limited Professional Indemnity and Personal Accident insurance.
First Time Diver Membership
New participants may register under the First Time Diver Membership, which provides membership coverage for one term.
First Time Diver Membership: $63.75
This membership option is designed to allow new participants to experience diving before committing to a full annual membership.
Should you wish to continue diving after your initial term, you will then transition to the appropriate annual membership category. You can view our membership feeshere.
2. Coaching Fees
Diving is a sport that relies heavily on repetition and the development of muscle memory. As a result, divers who attend lessons more regularly often progress more quickly. Many divers begin with one lesson per week and increase their attendance as their interest and skills develop.
Kids Learn 2 Dive
1 lesson per week: $230 per term (for a 10 week term)
If your child attends multiple classes each week, a separate coaching fee invoice will be generated for each weekly lesson booked. For example, a diver attending both Tuesday and Friday Bronze Learn 2 Dive classes would receive two coaching fee invoices.
Should a term be shorter than the standard 10-week duration, coaching fees will be adjusted accordingly.
Missed Lessons
Please note that Diving SA does not offer make-up lessons for missed sessions.
Refunds or credits may be considered in cases of illness or injury where a medical certificate is provided. If Diving SA cancels a lesson due to unforeseen circumstances, a make-up lesson may be offered where possible.

Diving SA is a proud provider within the South Australian Government's Sports Voucher Program.
Children from Reception to Year 9 are eligible to receive up to two $100 Sports Vouchers per calendar year, which can be used towards sport, recreation, or music activities.
