2026 SA State Junior Championships

📍 Venue: SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre, Marion
📅 Dates: Friday 4 September – Saturday 5 September 2026

The 2026 SA State Junior Championships is open to all diving levels and serves as a qualifying event for national competitions.

All divers from Learn to Dive through to Squad Level are encouraged to enter. Please speak with your coach regarding which event/s are suitable for you.


Competition Information

All Diving SA competitions are qualifying events for:

  • Age
  • Junior
  • Open
  • Skills divers

Please note:

  • Divers competing in both a State Skills event and a DSA Levels, Age Group, or Junior event will compete as a guest in the DSA Levels, Age Group, or Junior event.
  • Guest competitors are not eligible for medals in those events.
  • Scores will still count toward qualification requirements.

Warm Up Times

  • Friday: Warm up commences at 4:15pm
  • Saturday: Warm up commences at 7:15am*
    Dependent on event entered

Understanding the DSA Levels Competition

Why should my child enter?

Levels 1–5 competitions are designed to help divers apply the basic skills learned during lessons in a supportive competition environment.

Competition Benefits

  • Opportunity to compete on Springboard and/or Platform
  • Events require only 3–6 skills
  • Set degree of difficulty values create a fair competition environment regardless of age
  • Builds confidence and competition experience
  • Prepares divers for future State and National qualifying opportunities

Eligibility

This competition is open to 2026/27 paid members only.

Each diver must register individually under their own username for each board/event entered.

Dive sheets are submitted via Dive Recorder and are required for:

  • Levels 6–10
  • Junior
  • Senior participants

Dive Sheets & Entries

Important Information

Dive sheets are only required for Level 6 and above.

Please note:

  • Every event entered must also be registered separately via the DSA online registration system
  • Submitting a dive sheet alone is not considered a valid competition entry
  • Invalid or incomplete entries may be removed from the system

Example

  • Level 6 Platform = one entry
  • Level 7 3m Springboard = separate entry

Both require separate registrations.


National Qualification Age Groups

To qualify for 2026 Junior and Skills National events and 2027 Age National or Open event, divers must compete in their correct age group.

Age groups are determined by the diver’s age on 31 December in the year of the National event.

Example

An Age Group diver born on 10 September 2010 will be 17 years old on 31 December 2027 and must therefore compete in the 16–18 age group.
