Diving South Australia is proud to host a special diving event in celebration of Wear It Purple Day – a national day dedicated to fostering safety, visibility, and inclusion for LGBTQIA+ young people.

This event is all about creating a space where everyone feels welcome, especially those who may not usually take part in sport. Whether you’ve never tried diving before or just want to be part of something meaningful – this is your chance to connect, participate, and show your support in a safe and encouraging environment.

Held annually on the last Friday of August, Wear It Purple Day was created in response to the real challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ youth. By wearing purple and getting involved, we’re sending a powerful message: you belong.
